A
Great Wine in the city! Founded by Jean de Pontac in
1525, this vineyard of 43 hectares is located
in the region of the graves situated south west of
Bordeaux, “hors des murs”.
Thanks
to their patient technological researches, his
descendants succeeded in the 17th and 18th
in producing a new type of wine which is at the origin
of the finest wines of Bordeaux.
These
efforts allowed his descendant, Count Arnaud the Pontac
to identify and personalize his production.
His
wines knew a great success in London at that time.
So
was born the notion of a Great Wine (grand cru) of
bordelais!
All
along its history which is linked to the history the
France and Bordeaux, it knew how to maintain his
pre-eminence.
The
prestigious castle belongs today to the Mr Clarence
Douglas Dillon, Ambassador of the United States
of America in Paris and former Minister of Finance of JF
Kennedy and since the 4th century,
owners, administrators and winemakers of the Château
Haut-Brion have always focused on the continuous high
quality of the wine.
This
property, located in Pessac, 6km away from Bordeaux, lays
